On the White Racist Attack on Dover Immigration Processing Centre

Further Far-Right Tory Weaponisation of War on New Migrants

The toxicity borne out of the growing and deepening crises of global capitalism continue to play-out amongst the Tories in Brexit Britain. This level of toxicity sees the strange situation whereby Black and Brown leading Tories in government are the promoters of this new fascism but also its targets especially in the instance of Rishi Sunak. Indian East African heritage Suella Braverman as Home Secretary attempts to shore up her own flimsy position by whipping-up the worst of Brit racism and racists and its support to her weaponisation of newly arrived migrants supported by Brit Prime Minister and Indian heritage Rishi Sunak who himself is the target of growing Tory and right-wing grassroots attacks as being a 'globalist' and for 'blocking Boris' return'. The constantly deepening war on migrants in Britain took a massive jump forward with the victory of the Brexit vote that opened-up a higher intensity of constant far-right racist anti-migrant media propaganda that has inspired the racist attack on a immigration processing centre last Sunday October 30th in Dover and the inhumane conditions at Manston processing centre.

Braverman's position as Home Sec is constantly on the verge of total collapse following shortly after her messy demise as Home Sec for 41 days under the most farcical Prime Ministerial rule of Liz Truss. Braverman seems utterly desperate to use the far right-wing culture war of using the most oppressed people in our society - newly arrived immigrant families who have come via small boats across the Channel  - to agitate mass support from the Tory and general far-right to attempt to perpetuate her political position as Home Sec. Braverman seems utterly desperate in trying to hold-on to her position and seems to rely purely on whipping up fascist fervour against migrants to enable herself which involved claiming there is an 'invasion' of England's shores by migrants. Using the term 'invasion' on the beaches of England seeks to plug into the mass racist nationalism harking back to the British war with Germany which the latter tried unsuccessfully to invade Britain. 

The concept of 'invasion' of migrants also skews the reality of the fact that the problem is the vicious anti-working class system that attacks us all rather than still relatively small numbers of people entering into this country. A basic position of humanity informs us that the British state is involved in a collective neo-colonialism around the world that continues to loot the wealth of labour and land and in this devastation some people refuse to be subjected to super-exploitation in the global south and instead decide to follow the looters to their own base being the 'West'. Migration is perhaps the central political issue of our times which is in the context of the fact that the world is dominated by western imperialism and its partners. Anyone who isn't a basic racist scumbag stands with the oppressed and their right to enter the colonial centre in a safe and supported manner. Any position against migrants means tying oneself to the pole of imperialist oppression and looting in a period of growing global fascism.

The racist attacker against the immigration processing centre in Dover was a 66yr old white man from 100 miles away in man in High Wycombe and the attacker has reportedly been investigated for child sex offences and threatened to kill himself while being questioned by police. The attacker committed suicide in a nearby garage after his attack on the immigration processing centre. The actual act of racist firebombing of an immigration centre is inspired directly out of the growing racist atmosphere and hysteria that the Tory leadership are committed to continuing to scapegoat migrant communities and attempt to divide people and distract from the growing working class anger around the cost of living crisis. 

The Tories have an open racist policy of 'hostile environment' for migrants as official policy since 2010 which is a kind of preemptive racist terror to deter people trying to even come here. Of course this isn't going to work as nearly everyone coming here is not going to be put off by any of the Tory actions against migrants. The most vicious elements of these racist policies are the attack on the Windrush migrants from the Caribbean, the threat to permanently expel migrants to Rwanda and running down immigration detention centres like the Napier army barracks and the outbreak of disease and massive overcrowding at Manston, which even chief inspector of prisons in Britain says the conditions there are unacceptable. 

These are openly fascist policies being promoted proudly by the Tories, but they, like so many other growing oppressions in our society, are not being countered by movements of people in protest. The left is failing to mobilise people against this despite some positive grassroots spontaneous actions in Kenmure Street, Glasgow last year and a few incidents in London which all resist attempts by the Home Office to kidnap people they deem 'illegal'. The direct action movement of Just Stop Oil shows that there are people willing to take risks from the left against the state, it's just that we don't have what we should have in a similar waves of people willing to disrupt and confront growing Tory fascism on issues such as the attacks on migrants and racist police brutality. The Tory weaponsation of migrants is being used as fascism always does for the most rapacious elements of the rich to attack and control us further so they can amass more wealth and power. Although largely absent at present, resistance on all levels is needed urgently to scupper their oppressive plans. 

Rishi Sunak: Brown-skinned carrier for growing fascism that the fascist mob hates

Rishi Sunak is the embodiment of a white supremacy Brit racist stereotype of a particular kind of Indian boy / man. Not the Indian / South Asian kid who is ready to fight-back, who finds other resistance youth and cultures and integrates as quickly into that resistance culture ready to smack-back any racist white boy, ready to slap-back any racist teacher and face the suspension or school expulsion etc.

No. Here comes another kind of white supremacist colonial-created Indian boy, the nerdy geeky kid with the awkward body language and walk, top of his class in exams and grades, over-eager to please the teacher, the more white and rich and male the teacher the more crawling this Indian boy is to him. If that teacher abuses him and even makes fun of him in a racist manner, this particular Indian pupil wants the love of the white man even more, it doesn't matter what racist humiliation the system and people following it subjects him to, his desire to be white and have a career of riches enables him to eat-up the racist humiliation as the norm. 

The Indian boy is weak and snivelling, easy to bully and beat up. He takes the beating and goes off quietly. He knows there's more important things than standing up for his own humanity, there is the possibility of sitting next to the colonial white man and once he is there at the pinnacle of his success in life, he can finally put-out what he has internalised: a deep hatred for anyone poorer and darker than he. 

Rishi Sunak is at one time an East African Indian (Punjabi Hindu) heritage brown person, as well as one of the leading carriers of the British (brexit) type of growing white supremacy racism and fascism. Sunak is ready to eat-up the growing vicious racism against him only to try and prove to those who would love to lynch him Thomas Mair-style while shouting "britain first!" as the racist attacker hacks away at Sunak's face. 

Sunak is ready to publicly lick the hand of the man who has put him deeper into the clutches of the growing racist lynch-mob - Boris Johnson. Boris is the Trump of the fascist masses, the nasty sleazy woman abuser and child/pregnancy-denier/terminator hero of the Brit masses. 

Boris in his statement that he wasn't going for PM the other day openly sniped at Sunak basically blaming him for Boris' own inability and decision to attempt to become PM again. In so doing, Boris has exposed Sunak to his baying racist mob, and the fascist mob understood the cue perfectly and have been rabidly attacking Sunak as the "globalist", neo-nazi code for: 'loyal to the global Jewish bankers' who they argue control everything while far-right white-trash nationalist Vladimir Putin is the hero against the globalists! 

Sunak is the embodiment of that pathetic Brit racist stereotype, a racist stereotype that is seeing classic old 1970s Brit racism to rise again as in the meme about the footwear being left at the doorstep of 10 Downing Street that has been spread widely by people across the political spectrum including Nato culture lickspittle Mehdi Hasan.

Sunak's response that like typical Indian boy who thirsts for white supremacy responds to the fascist mob who want him dead by trying to love them more by means of sacrificing the working classes at their feet but especially the most marginalised sections of the working classes: the immigrant, refugee, 'without papers'. 

Sunak brings in a similar brown-skinned fascist nut job Cruella Braverman to lick the fascist mob with him in bringing back the 'Rwanda policy', one of the most fascist immigration policies we have seen since the Labour government in the late 1970s were conducting virginity tests on South Asian women at Heathrow Airport. Perhaps one shouldn't remind Sunak and Cruella of that lest to give them ideas.

Boris has played a good hand for himself: let the black and brown idiots take-up the poisoned chalice, let society collapse further by means of Tory race-class escalating wars, let things fall apart further and perhaps Boris will step-in later to save the day for Neo-Nazi Brexit Britain. 

The trade unions aren't a worry, for the day Sunak takes the position of PM the RMT leadership do their own fascist advocacy and posture by cancelling their strike on Nov 9 at the feet of Brit militarist colonialism. Public sector workers in unions are struggling to adequately feed and clothe their children, heat their homes, the RMT second sellout in as many months indicates there is deep collusion between the trade union leaders and the Brit intelligence services and Tory state.  Someone contact the Irish Republican parents and ancestors of Lynch and Dempsey to come and take these wayward scummy sellouts  to the proverbial dark alley to do what the unrepentant Fenian Bhoys would suggest. 

The Tories reflecting the system which they promote is in perpetual and deepening crises, but for the poorest and most exploited Black working classes have always lived in crises while for the ruling classes their riches continue to peak like at no other time in history. Considering the state of political affairs in the Tory community and its central growing racist anger against the new Black and Brown alliance of the PM and cabinet will be blamed by the fascist mob no matter how much Sunak & Co try to serve the fascist mob in the culture more with more fascism. All the while, the working class grassroots are sleeping as they are further crushed under it all.

Post-Brexit Call to Action

Now that the results are in, it is easy to see why there is so much mourning across social media; it is a dark day for many reasons and the future is not looking any brighter for the refugees on their way, resident migrants or even those of us lucky enough to be a citizen. However, some would say it is to be expected; all of us who draw family lineage on the wrong side of empire will know that in crisis, like any wounded predator, imperialists often become their most ferocious and unpredictable.

Last week Wednesday: The Malcolm X Movement (MXM), Ealing Momentum, Momentum - Black ConneXions and Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (BARAC) all got together to organize a “Remain / Leave Debate” to discuss the future beyond the referendum; more specifically, how this future relates to all of us non-white, non-British and non-Christian people living here in England. On the panel there was: Lee Jasper, representing BARAC; Sukant Chandan from MXM; Marlene Ellis from Momentum-Black ConneXions; Nana Asante, representing Africans for Jeremy Corbyn Values; Raj Gill out of West London Unite Community; and Former Cllr Zahida Abbas Noori. Despite the broad range of political backgrounds and views, there were a great number of agreements across the panel, which was what made the event such a success.

There was general agreement across almost the entire panel at the beginning laying the responsibility for the rising tide of fascism, represented by ‘Brexit’ and all its supporters, jointly with: the impotence of current mainstream leaders in dealing with the far right and their campaigns creating disenfranchised masses in the first place. But let’s not forget that “Britain has racism embedded deep in its cultural DNA”1. Moving forward from Friday’s results, there can be no room left for any denial: we now live in a country, in 2016, where a majority, no matter how small, has supported an openly-racist campaign; the culmination of which is going to lead to dire consequences on all fronts.

All is not lost. The event concluded by focusing on the most pressing action points that we need to consider. In the face of one of the most divisive forces on earth, embodied in British fascism and imperialism, unity is one of the most important defenses we have, whether it is: Lee Jasper’s unity through ‘common cause’, which can be used to reach those vulnerable EU migrant’s here who have been spat on by the result; or the age old definition of ‘politically black’, put forward by Nana Asante as well as Lee, which unites all people who fall outside of the well defined category of ‘politically white’. Either way, Sukant brought the event back to the present by making it clear that radicalism is as important a factor: the establishment have not only failed to solve this problem, they have actively contributed to its creation; so it falls on us to make our own solutions. Marlene adds to this perfectly by reminding us that we are not few, we are many; a force to be reckoned with so lets change the way we think to encompass this.

Brothers, Sisters, Aunties, Uncles, Comrades and Partisans: now is the time for action! There are those among us who have experienced first hand the kind of hate that is bubbling over now: they didn’t run; they organized, mobilized and resisted by any means necessary. So we have a duty to do the same.

The UK and the Brexit or when some Dumb people breaks it!

It has been a bit more three weeks now since the referendum that resulted in the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union took place. The Brexit, as it is commonly known, is not effective yet; it will be implemented soon, though since a prime Minister was designated few days ago. On the internet petitions calling for a new referendum coming mainly from British citizens who regret their votes in favour of the Brexit has been circulating since the first hours the referendum results had been released. In Britain, many are those who, a day after the referendum, thought that their vote would have been different had they been more informed about what the EU really is and what it involves.

Let’s be clear and sincere on the issue. Most people who voted against the European Union did so mainly because of immigration. The quite well organised campaign presenting immigration in the United Kingdom as facilitated and empowered by the European Union was undoubtedly decisive in the choice most British made on the voting day. Many are those in Britain who attribute the difficulties they face with in their everyday lives to the presence of immigrants. The lack of border control within the Euro Zone is according to them the reason why immigrants can easily enter the country, take jobs and council houses that should normally be reserved to British first and only.

But what is the veracity and truth of all these ideas of immigration being an inconvenience to the UK? There is no doubt that all this is nothing more than a myth. Concretely speaking it is important to first of all to be reminded that the birth rate of the UK is so low that immigration is a necessity to maintain and ensure the renewal of new generations.

If most politicians in favour of Brexit pointed out the presence of large Eastern European communities to justify scepticism towards the EU, it is also important to underline that due to religious similarities and the colour of their skin, the East European community is, nonetheless, an easy blending community that in no way threatens Britain’s cultural landscape.

Secondly; let us not forget that some members of the Royal family have some East European blood in their veins. The current Queen’s husband -Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh- is to some extent not really West European, given the fact that he was born in Greece from a Greek family and only converted to Anglicanism later so that he could marry Queen Elizabeth II. A more accurate study and analysis of the comments made by Brexiters a few days before the vote reveals that immigration, not from Eastern Europe but clearly from Asia and Africa is what seemed to be the problem for the racists advocating for an exit, so as to better control British borders against immigration.

What these racists, and probably racialists and white supremacists do not understand is that Britain would have never become “Great” and also consequently “Great Britain”, had it not been for its different colonies. What a selfish behaviour it is, indeed, to loot remote countries for centuries and not expect to have the now deprived people coming and knocking at your door!

Had Africa and Asia not been denuded of their wealth for centuries, no massive waves of immigration from Africa towards Western countries would have ever taken place.

Besides, if it appears to be effective, the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union might undoubtedly announce some new referendums likely to take place in Scotland, Northern Ireland or again Wales. Following the results of the referendum, Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon, made it clear that a new referendum on Scotland’s being part of the United Kingdom was likely to happen after the “No” expressed by England to the EU. No need to say that if that happens, the racists and racialists white supremacists would have succeeded in doing one thing which is through racism making Great Britain a little Britain.
